Two men accused of manipulating NEET exam scores to earn money have been granted bail by a Mumbai court, which stated that the arrest of additional suspects cannot be the sole reason to deny bail.

Sandeep Shah and Salim Patel were detained by the Central Bureau of Investigation after allegedly deceiving NEET UG 2025 candidates by promising score manipulation for Rs 90 lakh each. The case asserts the duo impersonated intermediaries claiming undue sway over NTA officials.

The court, led by Special CBI Judge V P Desai, emphasized that the absence of further arrests is insufficient to deny bail, despite Patel's claim of no governmental involvement. The investigation continues, and other suspects remain at large.
