Austria has introduced a strategic initiative to attract Indian students to its leading technical universities, marking a significant development in Indo-Austrian academic relations. Ambassador Katharina Wieser emphasized that this program reflects the broader Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement signed in 2023.
The initiative, known as TU Austria - Focus India, aims to create avenues for Indian graduates in key fields such as engineering, technology, and sustainable innovation. Students will benefit from the resources of Austria's top technological universities: TU Wien, TU Graz, and Montanuniversität Leoben. Together, these institutions represent a dynamic platform with extensive academic and research opportunities.
Focused on student and professional mobility, the program introduces two-year Master's courses and offers a post-study visa extension. This initiative highlights Austria's commitment to affordable education and industry-academia collaboration, setting a foundation for a robust educational and cultural exchange with India.
