The Yuva Rajput Sabha held a protest on Monday against the inclusion of 42 Muslim students in the admission list for the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence. They are demanding these students be shifted and that Hindus be given reservation.
The protest came after the National Medical Commission approved admissions for the upcoming academic session, filling 50 MBBS slots predominantly with Muslim candidates. Led by Mandeep Singh, protesters accused authorities of discriminating against Hindus through 'flawed legislative bylaws' and questioned the intentions behind the admission process.
Raising concerns over protective measures for the Hindu community, leaders demanded changes to the university's bylaws, claiming religious discrimination. Yuva Rajput Sabha warned of escalated protests if the government fails to amend the current rules within two weeks, urging intervention from higher authorities like PM Modi and HM Shah.
