Exam Chaos at Delhi University: Logistics Fumble Causes Delays

Delhi University faced significant disruptions as delays in delivering question papers left students waiting for hours across various exam centers. The issue, affecting numerous papers and nearly 800 exams, prompted a statement from the DU controller, with revised schedules promised for the second week of January 2026.

Delhi University students faced an unexpected ordeal at test centers across the capital on Saturday as widespread disruptions in the delivery of question papers caused delays in their discipline-specific examinations.

At least 35 question papers were reported "missing" or "delayed," according to DU professors, leaving students waiting for over two hours and considering abandoning their exams. Mathematics and physics students experienced the worst delays.

A principal from a South campus college revealed that exams for dozens of courses were affected. The DU controller of examinations later announced logistical issues had been resolved, with revised schedules for affected papers coming in January 2026.
