Empowering the North-East: Youth Take Center Stage in IndiaSkills Competition

Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary highlighted Prime Minister Modi's focus on creating opportunities for the North-East through the IndiaSkills Regional Competition. The event, inaugurated at Gauhati University, celebrates skill excellence and aims to align North-East youth with national growth and industry demands. The competition showcases diverse skill areas, encouraging female participation in technical trades.

Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's continued efforts towards the North-East have resulted in new opportunities for its youth, enhancing their confidence and capabilities.

During the inauguration of the IndiaSkills Regional Competition 2025–26 at Gauhati University, Chaudhary emphasized the budding talent in the region, stating that these young individuals are poised to drive India's skilled workforce and contribute to the nation's progress.

The competition is a collaborative effort by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the National Skill Development Corporation, marking its debut in the North-East. The event aligns regional talent with national development goals, reflects increased female participation in technical fields, and prepares youth for Industry 4.0 roles.
