Kasturba Medical College Gains Esteem in Singapore's Medical Sphere

In a significant advancement for Indian medical education, Kasturba Medical College (KMC) in Manipal has been recognized by the Singapore Government as one of the eight newly endorsed international medical institutions. This acknowledgment, effective from February 2026, aligns KMC with 120 elite global medical schools.

The Singapore Medical Council's (SMC) decision followed a comprehensive review of overseas medical qualifications, evaluating academic rigor, language of instruction, clinical exposure, and graduate performance. Dr. H.S. Ballal, Pro Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, expressed pride in the recognition, viewing it as a testament to the college's unwavering commitment to excellence.

This accolade amplifies KMC's international stature and expands global opportunities for its graduates. From 2026, KMC graduates will be eligible for medical registration in Singapore, broadening their professional horizons.
