Forged Disability Certificate Scandal Rocks Medical College Admissions

The Economic Offences Wing in Jammu and Kashmir has charged two individuals for allegedly using a fake physical disability certificate to secure a medical college admission. This fraudulent act involved false representation as disabled and from an economically weaker section. Legal actions under various IPC sections have been initiated.

A scandal pertaining to forged documentation has emerged in Jammu and Kashmir, where two individuals have been accused by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch of securing a medical college seat using a counterfeit disability certificate.

Allegations suggest the student, a resident of Ajas in Bandipora district, illicitly obtained an MBBS seat at SKIMS Soura, Srinagar, by falsely claiming physical disability and economic hardship.

The EOW, after preliminary verification, found that the accused collaborated with another individual to produce the fraudulent document, leading to charges under several sections of the Indian Penal Code.
