Ganjam District Launches Free Coaching to Empower Aspiring Civil Servants
Ganjam district in Odisha inaugurated a free coaching centre in Berhampur to aid aspirants of UPSC and OPSC exams. Two more centres are set to open at Bhanjanagar and Chhatrapur. The initiative, named 'Lakshya Niketan,' aims to empower 170 students, including 85 women, with specialized training.

The district administration of Ganjam, Odisha, has initiated a significant educational push by inaugurating a free coaching centre in Berhampur. This centre is designed for aspirants preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) examinations.
Officials confirmed that two additional centres will soon open in Bhanjanagar and Chhatrapur, aiming to expand access across the district. The initiative is set to provide coaching to 170 aspirants, with over half of them being women, selected through a rigorous entrance examination.
In collaboration with a New Delhi coaching institute, the centre will see contributions from experienced IAS, IPS, and retired officers. According to Ganjam Collector V Keerthi Vasan, 'Lakshya Niketan' envisions creating an inclusive environment that nurtures talent and prepares youth for competitive civil service exams.
