In a remarkable feat, Andhra Pradesh reported a significant increase in Class 10 board examination results for the 2025-26 academic year. The overall pass percentage climbed to 85.2%, marking a substantial rise from the previous year's 81.1%. This success was largely attributed to a 100-day academic intervention programme.
The programme, executed under the leadership of Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, incorporated continuous assessments and data-driven monitoring to provide targeted academic support. Students underwent low-pressure assessments, with real-time data capturing and analytics facilitating personalized teaching strategies.
The initiative introduced innovative measures like categorizing students into 'shining stars' and 'rising stars' based on performance data. Additionally, the deployment of bilingual study materials and the emphasis on foundational learning showcased a scalable model for public education success. The programme's success was particularly noticeable in government schools, bridging the gap with private institutions.
