The Government Schools Teachers' Association (GSTA) has appealed to Delhi's education minister to retract show-cause notices directed at teachers. These notices were issued in light of reduced pass percentages in the CBSE Class 12 Board exams. GSTA attributed the decline to shortcomings in the newly introduced On Screen Marking (OSM) system.

In communication to the minister, the association highlighted that the OSM system was rolled out without sufficient groundwork or practical testing. Teachers encountered numerous technical obstacles, such as blurred answer sheets and missing pages, which complicated the evaluation process. GSTA also pointed out that these issues prompted stricter marking practices.

Furthermore, the association noted that the nationwide dip in Class 12 results should not be exclusively blamed on educators. It claimed that several teachers were unjustly issued notices, fostering anxiety within the teaching staff. The GSTA has called on the minister to annul the notices to foster a supportive environment conducive to better academic outcomes.
