Screen legend Robert Redford is retiring from acting
Oscar winner Robert Redford will retire from acting following this autumn's release of his upcoming film "The Old Man & The Gun," the 81-year-old told Entertainment Weekly in a story published on Monday.
Redford, best known for films such as "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and "Out of Africa," plays a seasoned bank robber in the new movie, which is scheduled to debut in theaters in September.

Beyonce has opened up about the difficult birth of her twins last year and how it changed her body, saying she has embraced her curves and was in no rush to get her old figure back. Showtime chief says risk paid off with Sacha Baron Cohen TV show
The head of cable channel Showtime on Monday heaped praise on British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, saying the risk of broadcasting his satirical new series had paid off and that he hoped there would be more.
Showtime President David Nevins said the channel had taken a "leap of faith" with the series "Who is America?" in which Baron Cohen adopts different personas and pranks American politicians, pop culture figures and others into saying outrageous things.

Singer Demi Lovato speaks out, says will keep fighting addiction
U.S. pop singer Demi Lovato spoke out on Sunday about her battle with addiction, saying she needed "time to heal and focus on my sobriety" days after media reports said she was taken to a Los Angeles hospital suffering from a suspected overdose. "I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction," the 25-year-old Grammy-nominated recording artist wrote on Instagram.
"What I've learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet."

'Murphy Brown' revival to tackle sexual misconduct with #MurphyToo
Emmy-winning comedy "Murphy Brown" will return to CBS television for the first time in 20 years with an episode that addresses the #MeToo movement of women breaking their silence about sexual harassment, the series' creator said on Sunday. The new season starring Candice Bergen as a pioneering newswoman is scheduled to premiere on Sept. 27.

Actress Charlotte Rae, star of 'Facts of Life,' dead at 92
Charlotte Rae, the actress, singer, and comedienne who won acclaim on Broadway and was best known for her starring role as girls boarding school housemother on U.S. television's "The Facts of Life" from 1979 to 1986, has died at the age of 92.
Rae died at her home in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon surrounded by her family, her manager Paul Hilepo wrote in an email.
Russia tasks Hollywood actor Seagal with improving U.S. ties
Russia's Foreign Ministry said on Saturday it had made U.S. actor Steven Seagal its special representative for Russian-U.S. humanitarian ties, a role it said was meant to deepen cultural, art and youth ties between the two countries.
President Vladimir Putin presented a Russian passport to U.S. actor Steven Seagal in 2016, saying he hoped it would serve as a symbol of how fractious ties between Moscow and Washington were starting to improve.
