Brief, nonchalant thread about my auditioning experience at Indian Idol 2012 and why I think it is a perfect platform to destroy your dreams as opposed to its common perception as a breeding ground for talent.

Nishant said that in the year 2012, auditions were organized in Mumbai where he had just reached for fun. There was about a 2 km long queue. There were many people who were very excited. Who felt that this is the biggest opportunity of their life. There were many who came here with their parents.
Nishant said, He also engaged in line from 7 am, but all the people were also in the line from 5 am in the morning, besides there were some who were in the lines all over the night because he was at the forefront. However, no one has removed the curtain on their eyes, there is nothing like the first to come first, wait for hours, even though its doors were opened at 1:00 pm in the afternoon.
Nishant said, There was no toilet facility in this long time nor was there food and water stall. If you had to go out of the line and look for it then there was a complete possibility that you could lose the place.
May. Mumbai. I rocked up at the venue more out of casual interest. On joining a queue 2 km long I noticed enthusiasts who had arrived there as though their lives depended on them. Some with their mothers holding Prasad, other rebels who had braved odds and traveled alone.

"Nishant wrote, "Well, we waited at one o'clock in the afternoon! Wrong! At one o'clock in the afternoon, we were sent to a stage of school ground like a herd, where a winner of last year was on songs playing on the Contestant Speaker."
Nishant said that this performance continued till 5 PM and in the meantime, "we noticed that a canister of water and a toilet were planted in the center for thousands of crowds."
He told that when he asked the crew, can we go for food or water? So the crew said - you go to your risk because the audition can start at any time. "However, when the right time to start the audition was asked, we were not told anything about it."
According to Nishant, auditions were not started till 8 pm and we were asked to shout in front of another stage. We were asked to scream, "WE LOVE INDIAN IDOL!".
Nishant has told his long story on one of the many tweets. In it, he said many shocking things about the show. He told that they also met people in the queue who were Divyaang and came here from several hundred kilometers away. Despite that, there was no separate facility for them. The visually impaired people were also in the same queue. Nishant's tweets are being shared on social media.
