Is The Curse of Oak Island Season 9’s filming secretly underway? Know in detail!

The Curse of Oak Island Season 9 is one of the most anticipated reality shows fans are eagerly waiting for. After the eighth season dropped its finale on May 4, 2021 on the History Channel, the viewers are wondering if the Lagina Brothers ever get to see a treasure hunt.

Throughout The Curse of Oak Island Season 8, Rick, Marty and their team tried to solve the 224-year-old treasure mystery of Oak Island. Season 8 ends with the Lagina brothers getting closer to the exact area of the money pit. They are convinced that their theories are working right. The show has already developed a curiosity among the series lovers and they are waiting for The Curse of Oak Island Season 9.

Although there is no official confirmation on The Curse of Oak Island Season 9, still the work has already begun on Season 9, reported Monsters & Critics. Recently, the Facebook page ‘Oak Island From The Other Side of The Causeway' revealed some images of trucks, diggers, and heavy machinery in Oak Island.

The caption reads: “A new excavator arrived today.! Appx 20-25 vehicles...I think it’s safe to say they are back at it! No sign of the brothers or any of the US gang yet.! Last nights sunset was amazing! Loving being back at my happy place!”

Although there is no presence of cast members, still the metal detecting expert, Gary Drayton posted a couple of pictures on his Instagram page, which appear to suggest he is on or very close to Oak Island. A fan asked him if he was back to the Island for The Curse of Oak Island Season 9. He answered, “Not Yet.” He also admitted that these images are from 2020.

However, after the end of The Curse of Oak Island Season 8, Gary Drayton hinted at Season 9. He said to the History Channel that the previous season has been the most productive edition ever. He commented, "It's going to go down in the history books as one of the most productive seasons we've ever had on Oak Island."

"We have discovered more this year than we could have ever dreamed of finding. It has been a fantastic year."

He added, "There are certain legends about Oak Island. You hear about legendary objects connected to [the island] and we got to hold some of these legendary Oak Island objects in our hands this year. That is pretty special. Fans are going to love it. [It] is bloody fantastic."

While it is too early to predict its renewal, some viewers believe that it is only a matter of time before the official announcement for The Curse of Oak Island Season 9 comes.
