After the grand success of Sweet Home, it’s only natural that fans are eagerly waiting for its second season. Many recent reports claimed that Sweet Home Season 2 will commence filming in December 2021. A report posted in July also claimed that the second season will have  Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook and Lee Si Young in the cast. However, Netflix has recently dismissed those reports. In response to the reports, Netflix commented, "Nothing has been decided yet regarding the production of ["Sweet Home"] Season 2."

Meanwhile, new reports by the South Korean portal, JTBC revealed that Netflix claimed that preparations for Sweet Home Season 2 have been started. According to the report, the streaming giant have already finalized the actors and actresses for the upcoming Sweet Home season.

The earlier reports also claimed that Netflix is working toward releasing  Sweet Home Season 2 in 2022. However, as already mention, Netflix has rubbished all those reports. It is, however, true that the first season of the K-drama ended on several cliffhangers. Part of the reason why fans are eagerly waiting for Sweet Home season 2 is because they want all their pressing questions answered.

There are several loose threads to join in Sweet Home Season 2. We saw Lee Eun-hyuk buried under the rubble of the apartment block, and it is a big question whether he is still alive.

Sang-Wook was seen dead in the pool but it is not clear if he would turn into a monster. It is also unclear how the army will save the remaining survivors from monsters. How Cha Hyun-soo, who shifted to the same apartment where the horror incidents took place, will survive? His life became disturbed after shifting in 1410 of Green Home.

Looking back, the filming for the first season took eight months lasting from June 2019 to February 2020. If the above reports are to be believed and if the production begins after December 2021, then fans may have to wait beyond winter 2022 for Season 2, noted What’s on Netflix.
