Demon Slayer Season 3: New trailer reveals Muzan Kibutsuji's Twelve Kizuki - a group of demons

Demon Slayer Season 3 is set for an epic kickoff with a special one-hour episode premiering in April 2023. The show will pick up from where we left off at last season's Swordsmith Village Arc. And will kick off with a one-hour special episode, rather than the standard 22-minute runtime.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba recently celebrated Setsubun, Japan's traditional festival marking the start of spring. According to Anime Corner, to honor its tradition and commemorate this special occasion, they released an epic trailer introducing viewers to Muzan Kibutsuji's Twelve Kizuki - a fearsome group of demons who serve as the series' formidable villains!

The first episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 will also air early as part of a global 'theatrical screening event' (similar to the Mugen Train situation) that will include episodes 10 and 11 of Demon Slayer season two. The information on those global screenings is provided below.

Demon Slayer Season 3’s plot will be based on the ninth arc of the original manga, the Swordsmith Village arc. The arc will cover approximately 25 or more manga chapters, similar to the length of the Entertainment District Arc. This is not the end of the story, as there is another arc available in the original manga titled Final Battle Arc. Demon Slayer Season 4 may be released in the future.

Tanjiro will travel to the Swordsmith Village to replace his sword because the smith Hotaru Haganezuka has grown tired of repairing it. Tanjiro must explain to the smith who created it how his sword became so badly damaged. Enemies close in on Tanjiro as he waits for his sword to be repaired. Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, engages the demons, but he'll need help from Tanjiro and Genya to do so. Demon Slayer Season 3 will show how they deal with the higher-ranking demons.

Regarding the Demon Slayer Season 3 voice cast, Natsuki Hanae will play Tanjiro Kamado, Akari Kitô will play Nezuko Kamado, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will play Inosuke Hashibira, and Hiro Shimono will play Zenitsu Agatsuma. The other cast members are Toshihiko Seki (as Muzan Kibutsuji), Toshiyuki Morikawa (as Kagaya Ubuyashiki), Kana Hanazawa (as Mitsuri Kanroji), Kengo Kawanishi (as Muichiro Tokito), Takahiro Sakurai (as Giyu Tomioka), Ai Kayano (as Kanae Kocho), Reina Ueda (as Tsuguko Kanao Tsuyuri), and Daisuke Namikawa (as Hotaru Haganezuka).
