Netflix typically takes its time assessing viewership data, including metrics like total hours viewed in the millions and the time spent in the global top ten spot before deciding on renewals. Cost considerations for the next season also play a role in their decision-making process.

According to a report by "What's on Netflix?" published on September 22, during the second week of its release, "Narco-Saints" garnered an impressive 62,650,000 million hours of viewing time, marking a 204% increase from its debut week. This promising performance suggests a strong possibility of "Narco-Saints Season 2."

The future of the series remains uncertain, especially since K-dramas have gained prominence on Netflix. However, in terms of the storyline, "Narco-Saints" provided a satisfying conclusion to its narrative. After aiding the NIS and DEA in taking down Yo-hwan, the Korean drug lord, Kang In-gu was finally able to return home. Six months later, Kang resumed his work as a mechanic in his shop, declining the reward of two karaoke bars offered by Choi Chang-ho, the team leader of the National Intelligence Service's Branch of America.

If "Narco-Saints Season 2" does materialize, fans can anticipate Kang potentially reuniting with the NIS to tackle new cases.
