Maame Serwaa, the Ghanaian actress has won the Best Actress and Student of the Year at the maiden edition of the UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards 2018. The awards night came off at Accra at the Knutsford University College last Friday, November 23.

Maame Serwaa recently became the brand ambassador for Knutsford University College. Organised by Youth Web Group, the event witnessed hundreds of Ghanaian showbiz personalities and students.

The 18-year old actress has been in the television screens for years. She has also starred in the films like ‘Ghana Police,’ ‘Maame Serwaa in Love,’ ‘Bayie Economy,’ ‘Who Killed Maame Serwaa’ and more. She started her acting career at a very young age and her talent has brought her this far.

The actress also thanked her supporters over this recognition including the Youth Web Group organizers and promised them that there were more for them to expect from her in the next year. She is considered one of the finest Kumawood stars whose versatility paves her way to play any role of her choice.

A few days back, Serwaa created headlines by saying that ‘she is not a slay queen.’ A slay queen is a woman who wants to choke everyone else with how beautiful and cool they are. In a recent interview on Accra100.5FM, the young celeb said that she had heard of the term (slay queen) but was not in reality.
