The highly acclaimed Netflix series, "All of Us Are Dead," captivated audiences worldwide with its thrilling K-drama, offering a unique twist to the South Korean drama scene. Following the release of its gripping first season, fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Season 2, which has now been officially confirmed. While the announcement was made in June 2022, fans have been wondering when they can expect the next installment to grace their screens.

However, there have been some delays in the production timeline. Initial reports suggested that filming would commence in September 2022, but this information turned out to be incorrect. In a interview with Park Ji-hu, one of the series' stars, it was revealed that as of March 2023, filming had not yet begun. Despite the delay, fans can rest assured that the production is expected to proceed smoothly, as it is based in South Korea, without the interruptions of ongoing strikes.

The delay in filming was primarily due to the busy schedules and commitments of the cast to other projects, pushing the production start date to late 2023 at the earliest. If all goes according to plan, fans can anticipate the premiere of "All of Us Are Dead" Season 2 in December 2024, allowing ample time for post-production work. However, a January 2025 release window is also a possibility, as Season 1 originally premiered in the same month in 2022.

For those unfamiliar with the series, "All of Us Are Dead" revolves around a failed science experiment that unleashes a mysterious virus, transforming humans into zombies. The infection quickly spreads, leading to a state of emergency and lockdown in the city. A group of students trapped in their school must band together to survive the zombie apocalypse.

The first season left viewers on the edge of their seats with most of the characters' fates hanging in the balance, making it clear that the outbreak could resurface at any moment. The introduction of hybrid characters who can use the virus to their advantage, while still craving human flesh, adds an intriguing layer of complexity to the story.

The possibilities for Season 2 are wide open, with hints of the virus spreading to Japan and the potential for the story to move overseas. The show's director, Lee Jae-kyoo, has also hinted at further exploration of the survival of zombies, along with the hope of encouraging personal reflection among viewers.

In Lee Jae-kyoo's words, "The series provides viewers with a chance to think about what kind of people they are, highlighting the people who take responsibility and those who do not when an event, such as school violence, occurs."

As of now, there is no official trailer or release date available for "All of Us Are Dead" Season 2, but fans can stay tuned for further updates on this thought-provoking and thrilling South Korean series.
