Kering confirms Alessandro Michele will become Valentino's next creative director

Alessandro Michele will join Kering's label Valentino as creative director, the Paris-based fashion group said on Thursday, confirming an earlier report from Vogue.

"I am certain that with his creativity, culture and versatile talent, he will be able to interpret masterfully the unique heritage of this magnificent House and make it flourish", Francois-Henri Pinault, Kering's chairman and CEO, said in a statement.
