Fashion Designer's Yoga Session at Golden Temple Sparks Controversy

The Punjab Police has registered a case against fashion designer Archana Makwana for hurting religious sentiments by performing yoga at the Golden Temple. The complaint was filed by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. Makwana has since apologized for her actions.

In a significant incident, the Punjab Police booked fashion designer and lifestyle influencer Archana Makwana for allegedly hurting religious sentiments by performing yoga at the esteemed Golden Temple complex.

The case was launched following a formal complaint from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) under Section 295-A of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings.

Makwana, who shared the photographs on social media, later issued a public apology, stressing that she had no intention to disrespect Sikh customs or sentiments.
