Telangana CM Honors State's Cultural Icons with Rs 25 Lakh Each

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday awarded cheques of Rs 25 lakh each to five Padma Shri recipients from the state. The honor recognizes achievements in traditional and cultural arts.

The awardees include Gaddam Sammaiah, an exponent of the traditional folk theatre Yakshagana; Dasari Kondappa, a player of the indigenous Burraveena string instrument; Velu Anandachari, a creator of traditional temple sculptures; Kurella Vithalacharya, a poet and writer; and Ketawat Somlal, a preserver of the Banjara community's cultural heritage.

In an official release, the awardees expressed their gratitude to the chief minister for his recognition and support.
