Mumbai is aglow as preparations intensify for the lavish wedding of Anant Ambani, Mukesh and Nita Ambani's youngest son. The grand event will highlight Indian culture and tradition, featuring high-profile guests, traditional décor, and performances by globally renowned artists. Celebrations are set across multiple luxurious venues in the city.
Mumbai's skyline is ablaze with lights as the city gears up for the wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani. The opulent affair, set to take place at the Ambanis' residence Antilia and Jio World Convention Centre, promises a grand celebration of Indian culture, spirituality, and tradition.
The wedding decor theme is 'An Ode to Varanasi,' paying homage to the ancient city's traditions, piety, culture, arts, crafts, and Banarasi cuisine. Guests can enjoy a variety of Banarasi street foods and traditional arts. Activities like an astrology shop, attar shop, florist, bangle seller, puppet show, and photo studio are also planned.
The wedding attire will showcase India's rich cultural heritage with vibrant colors, fabrics, and techniques. A 'Dashaavatar' exhibit will depict Lord Vishnu's ten avatars, offering a spectacular immersion in India's spiritual heritage. Hindustani classical raagas will be performed by famous musicians, with singers like Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, and Shreya Ghoshal adding to the ceremonies. International artists including K'naan, Rema, and Luis Fonsi will also perform.
Sivamani and the Jea Brass Band, as well as rappers Harddy Sandhu, Sanju Rathod, and Yo Yo Honey Singh are set to perform at the grand wedding. Pre-wedding festivities began in March with a celebration in Gujarat and performances by global superstar Rihanna. The Ambanis also hosted a mass wedding for 50 underprivileged couples.
The Sangeet ceremony saw performances by global pop star Justin Bieber, among others. Previous events featured a vibrant 'haldi' ceremony and a Grah Shanti Puja. The guest list includes high-profile names like former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, and reality TV stars Kim and Khloe Kardashian, whose presence has generated excitement on social media.
