Actor Saiee Manjrekar, daughter of the acclaimed actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, is embracing her girl-next-door image until directors start casting her in different roles. Manjrekar has already featured in various films, including 'Dabangg 3', Telugu feature 'Ghani', and the bilingual film 'Major'. In her upcoming project, 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha', she will portray the younger version of Tabu's character.
'The whole girl-next-door thing comes purely on the basis that I’m too young,' Manjrekar shared. 'As I experience more in life, it will start showing, and people may see something different in me, leading to varied roles.'
Saiee, at 22, views her journey in the film industry as a challenging race. 'Everyone is running towards the finish line,' she stated in an interview with PTI. 'The end goal for everyone is the same, but the paths differ.'
Reflecting on her experience working with Tabu, Saiee said, 'I feel inspired by Tabu ma’am’s ease and natural performance in front of the camera.' 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha', a Neeraj Pandey-directed musical romance drama, also stars Ajay Devgn, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Jimmy Shergill, and is set to release on August 2. The film is presented by NH Studioz and produced by Narendra Hirawat, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Sangeeta Ahir, and Shital Bhatia.
