Shooting activities came to a standstill in Bengal’s film studios on Monday as directors announced an indefinite ceasework in support of Rahool Mukherjee. The technicians' body had earlier boycotted Mukherjee, leading to widespread industry support for his cause.

The standstill, affecting all 11 studios in the region, was confirmed by a spokesperson for the Directors' Guild. Producers have also shown solidarity with the directors’ demands.

Prominent filmmakers took to social media to voice their support, highlighting the impact of the boycott. Industry stalwarts have called for immediate discussions to resolve the issue and prevent a significant crisis.
