Violence erupted between two groups of kanwariyas in Prem Nagar Colony following an earlier DJ-related altercation, police reported on Friday.
Six kanwariyas sustained injuries, with three hospitalized and the others treated on-site. The conflict, originating from a July 27 dispute, reignited post-kanwar yatra as one group was ambushed returning from a temple.
Both sides engaged in stone-pelting, causing injuries and vehicle damage. Police intervened, dispersing the crowd, but no formal complaints were lodged. Investigations using CCTV footage are ongoing, with strict action promised against the offenders.
