Subhash Ghai Celebrates US Team's Performance to 'Taal' at Doha 2024

Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai expressed his joy upon discovering that the US artistic swimming team performed to the musical theme of his 1999 film 'Taal'. The performance took place at the Doha 2024 World Aquatics Championships and featured the iconic score by AR Rahman, sung by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan.

Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai expressed his joy on Monday after discovering an old video of the US artistic swimming team performing to the musical theme from his 1999 hit film 'Taal'.

Ghai shared on social media that the US team performed to AR Rahman's score from 'Taal' at the Doha 2024 World Aquatics Championships in February.

The 79-year-old director emphasized how rare it is for the music of a Hindi film to achieve such iconic status internationally.

''RARELY IT HAPPENS WHEN A HINDI FILM THEME MUSIC LIKE TAAL' BECOMES ICONIC. It was seen at the World Aquatics Doha 2024, which inspired the USA artistic swimming team to display their unique performance on the music of 'Taal'. The title song of 'Taal' was performed by renowned singers Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan and penned by lyricist Anand Bakshi.

The musical romance drama 'Taal' starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Akshaye Khanna, and Anil Kapoor.
