American actress and singer McKenna Grace is set to co-star with Allison Williams in the indie adaptation of Colleen Hoover's 2019 novel 'Regretting You', Deadline reports. The announcement coincides with the theatrical release of Sony's adaptation of another Hoover novel, 'It Ends With Us', starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

Helmed by 'The Fault in Our Stars' director Josh Boone and scripted by Susan McMartin, 'Regretting You' delves into the complex dynamics between Morgan Grant (Williams) and her daughter Clara. Morgan, who became a mother at a young age, put her ambitions on hold to raise Clara. Their relationship deteriorates further after the tragic death of Chris, Morgan's husband and Clara's father.

Produced by Constantin Film's Robert Kulzer, along with Brunson Green and Anna Todd, the project sees Grace coming off her recent appearance in Sony's 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire'. Grace's filmography includes notable roles in 'I, Tonya', 'Captain Marvel', and several horror films, alongside television projects like 'The Haunting of Hill House'.
