Honoring a Legacy: M D Adhikari's Bust Unveiled

A bust of M D Adhikari, a freedom fighter and leader of the cooperative movement, was unveiled in Padukuduru. The event was officiated by former Karnataka CM M Veerappa Moily. Adhikari, a farmer by profession, was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's Quit India movement and played a significant role in promoting agriculture and youth empowerment.

A bust of freedom fighter M D Adhikari, also a farmer and cooperative movement leader, was unveiled at a school in Padukuduru, Hebri taluk, to honor his legacy.

Senior Congress leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister M Veerappa Moily unveiled the bust, praising Adhikari as a leader of great qualities and nationalistic spirit.

Remembered for his role in the Quit India movement and the cooperative sector, Adhikari was an inspiration to the local agricultural community and youth, despite being disillusioned with the Congress party in later years.
