In a tragic incident, two brothers, aged 17 and 18, drowned in the Yamuna River while trying to take a bath on Saturday. The police have identified the victims as Aryan (17) and Banshi (18) from Naushera village in Firozabad district.

The unfortunate event took place when Aryan, Banshi, and their uncle Rajesh (40) visited the Bateshwar Temple to attend a public feast organized by a local resident. Following the feast, they decided to cleanse themselves at the Panchmukhi ghat, but disaster struck as the brothers slipped into deeper waters.

Divers were able to rescue Rajesh safely, but tragically, the two young brothers could not be saved. Their bodies have been recovered and subsequently sent for post-mortem examination, according to police reports.
