Richie Mehta, renowned for his work on the acclaimed series 'Delhi Crime', is set to executive produce 'Boy from Andaman', directed by first-time filmmaker Parinaz Jal. The project is a collaboration with Imagine Entertainment and Baweja Studio.

The film, based on an original idea by Manu Chopra and written by Chopra and Jal, follows Mohan, a post office worker in Mumbai, as he responds to a letter addressed to 'God' by a young boy who survived the 2004 Andaman tsunami. An unlikely friendship blooms through their letter exchanges, leading Mohan to journey to the Andamans to help the boy.

Rick Ambros, Bhhaskar De, Sharmila Pinheiro, and Harman Baweja will produce the movie, spearheaded by Janice Chua for Imagine Entertainment. Mehta expressed his enthusiasm for the project's powerful narrative and the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team. Baweja also highlighted the story's inspiring and heartwarming qualities.
