The Delhi Police Crime Branch has achieved a major success in solving a robbery case from last year in Amar Colony by arresting a key suspect. Under sustained surveillance, Vinod alias Nanhe, aged 35, was apprehended in New Ashok Nagar, marking a significant breakthrough in the investigation.
Vinod, the son of Rajender Kumar and a resident of Sonipat, Haryana, played a central role in the robbery. The crime occurred on August 1, 2025, when the victim, Ashish, was duped through a fake escort service ad. He was forcibly taken by the accused, who transferred money from his account and assaulted him.
The arrest came after a dedicated police team, acting on intelligence reports, tracked Vinod's movements. He confessed to being part of a gang that traps men with false ads, highlighting a worrying trend of organized crime. The success was praised by Crime Branch officials for its meticulous planning and execution.
