Bollywood star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Sunday.
The pair, famous for their on-screen chemistry in films such as ''Ram-Leela'' and ''83'', made the joyful announcement through a joint Instagram post, declaring, ''Welcome Baby Girl! 8.9.2024.''
A day before the baby's arrival, Deepika was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai, and the couple was later spotted offering prayers at the Siddhivinayak Temple on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Deepika, 38, and Ranveer, 39, who were married in a private ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, in 2018, had announced her pregnancy in February. Speculation about the pregnancy began earlier this year when Deepika was seen covering her midsection at the 77th BAFTA awards.
Fans can look forward to seeing the duo in a special appearance in Rohit Shetty's ''Singham Again'', set for a Diwali release.
