Actor-comedian Vir Das, set to host the upcoming International Emmy Awards, has called upon aspiring designers, labels, and students to craft an outfit for his appearance at the event.
Das, who won the Emmy last year for his comedy special 'Landing,' will host the ceremony in New York this November. In an Instagram post on Sunday, he sought designs for 'super formal stuff,' emphasizing that designers will be credited and remunerated.
'I’m going to be the first Indian to host the International Emmy Awards. I’m going to wear something Indian from home. I’m also not going to wear a fancy designer,' Das wrote, encouraging budding talent to submit their work via email. He specified that the attire should be ultra-formal Indian or Indo-western fusion.
