Satyendra Singh, national president of the RSS-affiliated Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, on Sunday described tribals as 'pillars of the vast Sanatani society' and cautioned the community members against a 'conspiracy' by certain forces to create division among them.
Speaking at a national conference in Samalakha, Haryana, in the presence of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Singh exhorted the tribals across the country to set their own narrative, affirming that 'aranya sanskriti' (forest culture) is their core culture.
He alleged that the division among India's tribals is a 'gift' from the British, who distorted history through their books. He emphasized the similarity between tribal festivals and Sanatani traditions, calling for unity and the protection of their cultural heritage.
