As producer Vashu Bhagnani and his production house, Pooja Entertainment, face mounting allegations of unpaid dues to several film crew members, including well-known industry names, FWICE President B.N. Tiwari provided new insights into the situation. "We first received a complaint from Tinu Desai regarding Mission Raniganj. He has a pending balance of about Rs 33 lakhs. Bhagnani asked for some time, promising payment within a month. Part of the payment has been made, but Desai's dues are still outstanding," Tiwari told ANI.
Tiwari also highlighted an issue involving director Ali Abbas Zafar, who has not received his fee for 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,' starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. "The payments keep getting delayed without any proper response. Ali Zafar complained about pending dues of Rs 7.5 crores," revealed Tiwari.
Efforts are being made to resolve the issue, Tiwari stated. "A letter was sent to Bhagnani, citing complaints from the Directors' Association, Himanshu, and Ali Zafar. Although we sent the payment details, there has been no resolution. We are also dealing with Vikas Bahl’s pending dues of Rs 2.5 crores for Ganapath. We aim to resolve these issues quickly," said Tiwari. He added that the Federation is working diligently to address these complaints and hopes for prompt payment from Bhagnani’s camp. A response from Bhagnani or his team is still awaited.
