Assam's Governor, Lakshman Prasad Acharya, and Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, extended their heartfelt greetings to the people on the occasion of Durga Puja this Wednesday. The festival, a symbol of triumph of good over evil, brings hope and a brighter future for all.

The Governor emphasized that Durga Puja represents a commitment to righteousness, joy, and prosperity, strengthening unity against all evils. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister highlighted the festival's role in promoting humanism and moral values, fostering love, brotherhood, and solidarity.

Durga Puja, deeply rooted in Assam's cultural heritage since ancient Kamrupa times, showcases the state's rich traditions. As part of the celebrations, Chief Minister Sarma visited 14 puja pandals, reiterating the government's monetary support to the committees for the second consecutive year, bolstering communal harmony.
