In the latest edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Pariksha Pe Charcha, attention was drawn to the pivotal importance of balanced eating and adequate sleep for optimal exam performance. Friday's session featured insights from nutrition and wellness specialists such as macrobiotic nutritionist Shonali Sabherwal, renowned nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar, and health influencer Revant Himatsingka.
Moderated by Sharat Bhattatiripad, the event underscored the significance of maintaining a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle to manage stress and enhance focus during examinations. Revant Himatsingka, noted for his health initiative Label Padhega India, shared his mission to improve nationwide health awareness. He expressed a desire to integrate health education into school curriculums within five years to ensure children understand the impact of their dietary choices from an early age.
Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar stressed the need for dietary variety, paralleling it to the diversity found in school subjects. "Certain foods like peanuts, bananas, and rice act as excellent destressers,” Diwekar remarked, advocating their inclusion in daily diets to keep students energized during study periods.
Since 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha has served as an innovative platform for exchanges amongst students, parents, and educators to address exam-related challenges and stress. Organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education, the event has transitioned from an interactive New Delhi town hall to virtual formats during the pandemic. The 2025 edition resumed in-person at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, with nationwide broadcasts ensuring broad participation via the Prime Minister’s official channels, PMO X handle, and YouTube.
