Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Durga Das Uikey, highlighted the role of tribal communities as cultural guardians in India while speaking at the Tribal Students Parliament in New Delhi. Organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the event gathered over 300 tribal students from across the nation.

Students were vocal about their concerns on education, employment, and the effectiveness of government schemes. Uikey praised the tribes as custodians of Indian heritage, recalling historical contributions of tribal leaders like Chanakya and Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

The event also included comprehensive discussions on topics like health, language, and tribal heritage, with calls for increased youth participation in implementing welfare initiatives. Government recommendations will be presented following the completion of the Students Parliament.
