Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Madhav Tiger Reserve on Monday, introducing a tigress into the facility. This marks Madhya Pradesh's ninth tiger reserve, a strategic move to enhance wildlife tourism in the region.

The inauguration is viewed as a historic milestone for the state's Chambal region. Yadav expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the establishment, emphasizing the unique wildlife resources in the state. The reserve aims to attract tourists, create job opportunities, and open new avenues for regional development.

The event coincided with the birth anniversary of late Madhavrao Scindia, adding symbolic significance. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia lauded the expansion, highlighting the combined expanse of Kuno and Madhav reserves, now over 3,000 square kilometers, as a testament to the state’s commitment to wildlife conservation.
