As Holi aligns with the ongoing observance of Ramzan, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati has called on state governments to foster a climate of mutual brotherhood. She emphasized that this would be in everyone's interest, urging against political maneuvering during these festivities.
Addressing the issue on the microblogging platform X, Mayawati highlighted the importance of honoring and respecting all religious communities equally. She cautioned that any form of political exploitation of this confluence would undermine social harmony.
Furthermore, Mayawati insisted that officers prioritize maintaining law and order to ensure peaceful celebrations of both Holi and Ramzan. Such measures, she argued, would enhance mutual respect and camaraderie across diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
