Goa is ready to unveil its vibrant cultural showcase through the upcoming Shigmo Festival, set to take place between March 15 and 29. Highlighting Goa's rich cultural essence, the event includes float parades traversing the state's streets, officials announced, while inviting guests to join the festivities.
Tourism Minister Rohan A Khaunte emphasized that the festival offers an immersive experience into Goan traditions, encouraging visitors to explore beyond the coastline. "It's an opportunity to witness authentic Goan culture," he stated during a press briefing.
The celebration kicks off in South Goa's Ponda on March 15 and concludes in North Goa's Mandrem on March 29, with parades scheduled across several towns, bringing the streets alive with the spirit of Goa's heritage.
