Celebrated every June 21, the International Day of Yoga has become a worldwide movement since its initiation by the United Nations in 2015, following a proposal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In preparing for the 2025 event, the government seeks to amplify its impact, encouraging the participation of global communities.
Key initiatives discussed included Yoga Sangam, Harit Yoga, Yoga Connect, and Yoga Bandhan, each designed to integrate yoga with various institutions and communities, emphasizing eco-consciousness and social unity. The plan aims to reach youth, educational bodies, and leaders to spread the message of 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health.'
