Emotional Farewell: Air India Crash Victims Laid to Rest

The last rites for Captain Sumeet Sabharwal and crew member Maithili Patil, victims of the Air India crash in Ahmedabad, were conducted this week. Meanwhile, Maithili Patil, a crew member who also perished in the crash, was cremated in Raigad district. Large crowds gathered to honor Patil, recognized posthumously through DNA identification, as both funerals captured the community's collective grief.

The flight, en route to London, tragically crashed shortly after takeoff, leading to significant casualties. The authorities confirmed flight details, recounting the distress call issued by Sabharwal before the plane collided into a medical complex, marking a somber day in aviation history.
