SGPC Calls for Protection of Sikh Religious Sites Amid Iran-Israel Tensions

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee president Harjinder Singh Dhami urged the Indian government to ensure the safety of gurdwaras and scriptures in Iran and Israel amid escalating conflicts. Emphasizing the significance of Guru Granth Sahib to Sikhs, Dhami advocated diplomatic efforts to maintain the sanctity of these religious sites.

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has voiced serious concerns over the safety of Sikh religious sites in Iran and Israel, amidst the escalating conflict between the two nations.

Speaking on Thursday, SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami urgently called upon the Indian government to safeguard the gurdwaras and sacred Guru Granth Sahib scriptures situated in these countries.

Dhami reiterated the profound reverence held by the Sikh community for their scriptures, urging diplomatic measures to protect their sanctity and security by engaging with Iran and Israel through international platforms.
