BTS Reunion: A Historic Return Post-Military Service

Suga, a prominent rapper and songwriter from the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, has completed South Korea's mandatory military service. This marks the official return of all seven BTS members from their enlistment obligations, according to a statement from their management agency, Big Hit Entertainment.

Suga, who served as a social service agent rather than in the army due to an alternative service arrangement, was officially discharged on Saturday. The remaining members, who primarily served in the army, included RM, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook, all of whom completed their service in recent weeks. Jin and J-Hope had completed theirs earlier this year.

The return of the band members revitalizes plans for a group reunion in 2025. While K-pop stars are typically not granted military service exemptions, a 2020 law allowed for delayed enlistment until age 30. BTS members' decision to fulfill their duties followed public debate on potential exemptions.
