Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar spearheads an agricultural initiative by turning his official residence's grounds into a productive farm. A stellar yield was observed on the five-acre farming plot, showcasing a variety of crops including long beans, brinjal, green chili, and more.
The farm, which reflects the Governor's vision of creating a productive vegetable garden, aims to provide vegetable kits to the Raj Bhavan staff. Heavy rains altered these plans slightly, limiting the Onam kits to include spinach, beans, and ladies finger.
This initiative draws inspiration from a previous agricultural experiment initiated by the Governor in Bihar. Staff members are actively participating under the guidance of an Agriculture Department supervisor, ensuring high yields through dedicated maintenance.
