Final Salute: Fans and Family Pay Tribute to Zubeen Garg
Renowned singer Zubeen Garg's mortal remains arrived at Guwahati's airport on Sunday, drawing thousands of fans and officials. His last rites are pending finalization, with public homage scheduled at a local sports complex. The body, flown from Singapore via Delhi, was met by the Assam Chief Minister.

Thousands of fans gathered at Guwahati's airport early Sunday morning to pay their final respects to beloved singer Zubeen Garg as his mortal remains arrived from Singapore.
Accompanied by his wife, Garima Saikia Garg, and senior state officials, the artist's body was transported in a flower-bedecked ambulance to his Kahilipara residence, where family members, including his elderly father, bid farewell. The public is invited to pay homage at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex.
The Assam government is consulting with Garg's family to finalize the last rites, and the state Cabinet is set to decide on the cremation venue. His body was flown to Guwahati from Delhi after being unable to secure a chartered flight.
