The announcement, made through the 'Wicked' Instagram account, featured Domingo playfully revealing his involvement from behind a lion stuffed toy, exclaiming, 'See you in Oz!'
Director Jon M. Chu recently heightened fan anticipation, indicating the excitement surrounding Domingo's participation. He commented, 'Man, wait until the red carpet when the actor who gave us the Cowardly Lion's voice steps foot on it. It'll be wild,' as reported by the outlet. In the storyline, the Cowardly Lion's journey begins when a young cub is saved by Elphaba, portrayed by Cynthia Erivo, and Fiyero, played by Jonathan Bailey. The narrative follows their daring rescue as Elphaba's powers help them set the cub free in the forest.
