Actor and playwright Colman Domingo has been unveiled as the voice behind the Cowardly Lion in the highly anticipated film 'Wicked: For Good,' according to Variety. The announcement, made through the 'Wicked' Instagram account, featured Domingo playfully revealing his involvement from behind a lion stuffed toy, exclaiming, 'See you in Oz!'

Director Jon M. Chu recently heightened fan anticipation, indicating the excitement surrounding Domingo's participation. He commented, 'Man, wait until the red carpet when the actor who gave us the Cowardly Lion's voice steps foot on it. It'll be wild,' as reported by the outlet. In the storyline, the Cowardly Lion's journey begins when a young cub is saved by Elphaba, portrayed by Cynthia Erivo, and Fiyero, played by Jonathan Bailey. The narrative follows their daring rescue as Elphaba's powers help them set the cub free in the forest.

'Wicked: For Good,' an adaptation of the 2003 Tony Award-winning musical by Winnie Holzman, features Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba and Glinda. The sequel continues the tale of the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch of the South, exploring how their lives—and the fate of Oz—are transformed.
