Renowned Bollywood singer and music composer Sachin Sanghvi has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman under the pretense of marriage and offering her a role in his music album. While released on bail, Sanghvi's lawyer claims the allegations are baseless and plans to contest them emphatically.

Sachin Sanghvi, a prominent figure in Bollywood known for his work on 'Stree 2' and 'Bhediya,' was arrested on allegations of sexual assault, police confirmed Friday.

The accusations state that Sanghvi promised a young woman a spot in his music album and marriage, leading to multiple alleged instances of assault.

Defending the acclaimed singer-composer, his lawyer, Aditya Mithe, refuted these claims as unfounded and assured a robust legal challenge, labeling the police detention as unlawful.
