Reddy, the former TTD chairman, clarified that he only learned of the alleged theft after leaving office. He stated that CID officers informed him about the irregularities taking place during the previous YSRCP government's tenure, prompting his recent questioning.

Investigations have revealed that a TTD employee, Ravi Kumar, allegedly stole approximately $920 from the Parakamani. Simultaneously, concerns regarding the TTD laddu case, involving substandard ingredients and possible adulteration during the same period, have further compounded the issue. Reddy has assured full cooperation with the ongoing investigation.
